Heavy Metal is not just music; it is a culture and a way of life. Metal is constantly stereotyped as music that appeals to men only, while women are left on the sidelines. This notion of a male-centered culture is simply untrue. Heavy Metal music and culture appeal to a very broad audience that transcends the barriers of race and gender. This website was born out of the desire to showcase the fallacy of the male-centric stereotype. It is also helps Metal bands gain new fans by using their songs in videos of the "Metal Babes."

All women who are featured on this site share the love of the Metal music and culture. Their backgrounds and stories are unique, but the love of Heavy Metal unites them. Every woman who loves Heavy Metal is invited to participate. If you want to join the ranks of our Metal Babes, please contact us.

A few of the "Featured Metal Babes" are professional or experienced models, while others have never modeled before. All women appearing in the photos and videos made exclusively for this website were at least 18 years of age at the time of filming. Some of the bands whose songs are featured on the site are well known in the Heavy Metal community, while many others are newcomers to the scene. Every song that is used on the site is obtained with the express permission of the band or the band's management. Heavy Metal has many subgenres and bands identifying with any of them are welcome to participate. If you want to have your band featured on the site, please contact us.

If at least one unsigned Metal band gets a record contract as a result of exposure through our website, or if even one person discovers a new favorite band through this site, or any other good thing happens as a result of someone visiting this website, then it is a worthwhile project.
